North American Indigenous Games Council Staffing

June 8, 2012

To whom it may concern,

It is our pleasure to announce that the North American Indigenous Games Council has contracted the services of Mr. Norman Ettawacappo for a period of 18 months as the NAIG Council Coordinator. This contract follows a successful transition from his former post with the Aboriginal Sport Circle and initial short term contracts with the Council.

Mr. Ettawacappo has been involved in the NAIG Movement since 1993 where he competed in the senior men's volleyball event in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Since then he has participated in several NAIG's in various capacities as an athlete, coach, official, team mission staff, volunteer and liaison to host Societies and NAIG Council.

The position of NAIG Council Coordinator will require Mr. Ettawacappo to administer a 3-year business plan following an official policy manual and several other key governing documents. The position will also require him to ensure NAIG Council and the Regina 2014 NAIG Host Society comply with hosting standards. This will be done by coordinating activities for the Executive, Finance, Constitution, Hosting, Sport & Technical and Bid Committees.

Mr. Ettawacappo will also work with NAIG Council on marketing and sponsorship campaigns with priority on generating revenue for Council to continue the important work they do with governing the North American Indigenous Games event. The campaigns may help generate interest and potential revenue for planning efforts of host societies and participating teams.

The Coordinator can be reached through his email address norman@naigcouncil.com or toll free at 1-800-453-7239 and will be working out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Thank you,
Dave Canadian, NAIG Council President
