2014 NAIG Badminton Sport Technical Package

NAIG Council members, 2014 NAIG Chef de missions, partners and supporters;
Please be advised that the North American Indigenous Games Council has recently adopted a change to the age categories for the sport of Badminton at the 2014 NAIG. The change requires a shifting of age categories, no increase or decrease in roster size, that would be consistent with current national age group standards.
The NAIG Council’s Sport & Technical Committee was tasked with reviewing the change request from the national and provincial sport governing bodies and make recommendation to accept or deny the change. The review found a change to the age categories to sync with national age group standards would be beneficial to teams and athletes and does not conflict with host society plans.
